A 50/50 Standard Newfypoo is the most common of the Newfypoo breeds. When entering the doodle world this is what most families are thinking they want. The 50/50 original Newfypoo is guaranteed to be 50% Newfoundland and 50% Poodle. Most are low to non-shedding. They range from 75-150lbs based on the parents and they come in all your traditional Newfoundland colors (solid black, solid brown, black & white, brown & white).
Here is Rosie who is 5 years old (Teghan's last litter) and 75lbs. 50 / 50 Newfypoo. She is the sweetest most lovey girl who demands a lot of pets. She is absolutely stubborn and sassy, but we love that. She is smart as a whip and loves a pretty set schedule.
Rosie has an Instagram @rosiethenewdle - if people want to see her grow from birth to age 5 - we also post plenty of videos and stories of her personality.
This Howard a 50/50 Newfypoo. He is calm and submissive but can have high energy when needed. Loves his toys and playing with kids and other animals. He does not shed except when brushing.

Standard Bernedoodles
We started breeding 50/50 standard Bernedoodles a few years back because Kim and I fell in love with the Bernese breed. The biggest question we get asked is what is the difference between the Newfypoo vs Bernedoodle. Our best answer is "if you see one of each at the dog park and they both come up to you there is an excellent chance you will not know the difference based on size, look and temperament". The biggest difference is that Bernedoodles come in a lot flashier colors and patterns. Most families come to s for Newfypoos because that is what we are known for. Most families know of purebred Newfoundland and want to clone it without the shedding and drooling. The Bernese is not as well know so they get looked over. However, we feel you are missing out on an amazing family pet if you don't consider the Bernedoodle as well as the Newfypoo.
We have 2 f1 Bernedoodles zoo babies and they are incredible. They have brought so much joy to my family and to the elderly community that we visit here in Florida. Love my babies!
Kimber is a Bernedoodle from Prudence and Juniors 10/28/20 litter. She is such a loving , snuggly girl. Very affectionate. Loves her walks and is super fast and agile. Not stubborn at all and is always wanting to please us. She is a wonderful dog who loves to sit on our laps!
Beesley is from Prudence/Juniors litter over last spring. She is currently weighing in around 60-lbs at almost 9-months. Loves the snow.
My Bertie, 50/50 Bernedoodle from Newfypoo Zoo was worth every single penny and more. She is the most gentle, hilarious, loving dog we’ve ever had and I can’t imagine having gone through this pandemic without her. Every member of my family thinks she is THEIR DOG because she makes you feel that way. So if you’re on the fence, hop off and get that sweet puppy. I’d get one of these if we didn’t already have 3 dogs. Ha!
Our F1 standard Bernedoodle from Newfypoo Zoo is literally one of the best pets we have ever had. We adore him!! He is so smart and loving and soft and beautiful!
Sully is now 10 months old, weighing in at 65 pounds. I think he is reaching his max weight as he has held there for about 3 months. Still has some filling out to do, though. He does shed, but he does not bother our allergies, and his hair easily comes up in our vacuum. He is such a good and calm baby still! Learns fast, listens well (most of the time), and absolutely loves snuggling and all the attention he can get is never enough. He has progressed through crate training where he is now full out of the crate with his brother all day long and we haven't come home to any surprises yet! He loves jumping into the baby pool and went swimming in a lake recently. He is so smart and content. He is still a little timid around new places and people, and is getting better at loose leash walking every day! We are so thankful and hope you enjoy this update and hello from Sully!"
Sable Merle From Prudence & Juniors last litter - Fluffy Teddy Bear Geno, from Prudence litter, he is huge at 10 months I believe he is close to 90 pounds he has a great temperament. I thought I heard u ask for pics of sable coats now and then. He's stunning and a show stopper everywhere he goes. We love him so very much he's perfect in all ways.

Multigeneration Newfypoos
The multigeneration Newfypoo is a bit tricky/confusing and not many breeders use this term. Newfypoo Zoo started the multigeneration a few years ago because we had absolutely stunning Newfypoos that we wanted to continue the bloodline with. When continuing the bloodline, we had to start with a Newfypoo and we were limited to what we could breed it back to in order to better the breed and still breed for size, look, coat type, colors/patterns and of course temperament. So, we often use another Newfypoo of a different generation. When doing this mix, we can get a variety of coat types. Most litters will have both non-furnished, and furnished coats based on the genetics. Unfortunately, we will not know what coat type each puppy have for several weeks after they're born. Most families want a large Newfypoo that looks like a Newfy. Well, that's where it gets tricky. If you want a large Newfypoo that looks like a Newfy then you are asking for a flat coat (non-furnished) Newfypoo. With the flat coat, you can also get more shedding. If you are looking for a Newfypoo that is low shedding, large but still has the big boxy Newfy head and body then you want a furnished wavy coat. The percentage of Newfy vs poodle in each litter will vary. However, it will not have an impact of a furnished or non-furnished coat.
F1B (more Newfy) reverse Newfypoos
The F1B reverse Newfypoo is a Newfypoo bred back to a Newfoundland. This breed is very similar to the reading material regarding the multi generation litters. The difference is, we know these puppies will be approximately 75% Newfy and 25% Poodle. The coats can vary dramatically. Most of the puppies will mature around 80lbs -125lbs. We do not breed many of these litter and when we do, we usually hold a female or two back for our program.
Meet Maya! She is purple from Zoeys litter (far left in the picture above.) At 5 months, she is 45 pounds. After a few weeks, we discovered she is sensitive to chicken. During that time she got REAL spoiled and got to eat momma’s homemade meals- but now we mix it in with kibble of lamb and rice. She looks a lot like her daddy and I believe she will when she’s older too. Shorter hair, straight, and she does shed, but not in great amounts. Shes losing a lot of her molar teeth right now. Each day we find a new one that’s left behind in a chew toy. She’s VERY vocal, loves to play with squeaky toys and balls, and loves the sprinklers! She has 2 cousins (goldens) that she adores and plays rough with them. Also- the tongue! It’s a wet one. We love her!
Wanted to attach some of our Porter, from Ellie and Junior’s litter of 5. he was the larger black male- he’s still a chunk! He’s 115 pounds now.
He’s got a PHENOMENAL coat that’s wavy and tons of grey/ silver hairs throughout his black coat. He’s actually about to be fully silver I think- his hair is long so the top of the hair is black and grey at the base. He LOVES babies- he’s guarded my sisters babies since he was 9 weeks old, and he’s so gentle with them even when they grab his face and tail- it’s the sweetest thing He’s a great guard dog of the house though- he barks at all the mailmen that come up the walkway. Thank you guys for breeding a great healthy boy!
This is Griffin, “Big Brown”, Multigeneration Newfypoo from Junior and Ellie’s November 2020 litter. He is 78 pounds and a very social dog. We started taking him to doggy daycare at Ridgeside K9 Ohio when he was 4 months old, and he did their two week day training at 10 months. He regularly goes to restaurants, stores and visits our office/ warehouse. He loves playing with people and other dogs, and everywhere we go he gets compliments on his behavior and cuteness. He loves playing fetch and surprises us with his super speed and agility for his size. Thank you Newfypoo Zoo for the perfect addition to our family. We can’t remember life before him

F1B (more Poodle) Newfypoos
The F1B Newfypoo is a Newfypoo bred back to a Poodle. Most families were turned away from this generation because nobody wants a "Poodly" looking Newfypoo with the curly coat and higher energy Poodle personality. Well, we know that, and we take a lot of measures to not produce that look and personality. With this breed we still pair our dogs properly to get the boxy head, shorter snout, and wavy (not curly) coat. A lot of the look of a Newfypoo no matter what generation you go with is based around grooming! We do recommend families with allergies to definitely go with the F1B litters. We can never guarantee a Newfypoo won't shed but we can definitely say this is the best generation for non-shedding.
This is Mia, she is a mini Newfypoo and at 5 months, weighs 30 lbs. She is full of energy and into everything!
Lilo. F1b (more poodle) Newfypoo. Born June 2021. Approximately 60lbs I think and 7 months old. She’s chill, except when she doesn’t want to do something. You have to make her.

Newfypoo VS Bernedoodle
The dog on your left is my Bernedoodle, Hunter ( 95 pounds ). He was born at the Newfypoo Zoo in Dec. 2018. The dog on your right is my Granddog, Wrigley (150 pounds) and he is a Newdle. He was born at the Zoo in May 2015. They are so similar in temperament. Both are very laid back, very loving and cuddly, love everybody and think they are “lap puppies”! Not real “high energy” but like to go on walks and Wrigley loves to swim. They both get “scared” by little things….like grasshoppers! Are very sensitive ( don’t like to be scolded) and protective of their “Momma”! It amazes me how much they are alike.
We have both-Leo (Bernedoodle) is VERY affectionate. He constantly is seeking snuggles and head scratches. True to the Bernese Mtn dog part, he will rub all of his 90lbs a against your legs like a cat and constantly nose your hand nonstop for more head rubs. He is the most leash reactive of all our dogs (4 total) and needed a little extra training and socialization. We have Orion and Oliver our newfypoos who are still young puppies (7ish months) and evolving. Oliver is a “more newfy” and by far the most chill and picked up training super fast. He’s a breeze when walking (“heel”) and has never met someone he hasn’t liked. He is putting on about 10lbs a month and is already about the same size as our 4 yr old Goldendoodle, Goldy——yes we do love our doodle breeds. Oliver was biiiig on barking initially but that has subsided this past month. LoVES all bodies of water. Our biggest issue now is the massive holes he enjoys digging in the lawn. Orion is a “more poodle” newfypoo and similar to Leo, our Bernedoodle in temperament. Not quite as leash reactive but does try to take charge of the leash (grabs it with his mouth and tries to walk us). Very smart and has learned from Goldy how to open our backdoor!!! Enjoys training and walks the absolute most. And is very snuggly and attached to his humans. Plays extremely well with all dogs, a little more cautious when meeting people but warms up quick. As for size, Goldy is in the 70s, Leo 93, and the vet predicts well over 100 for the “babies” with Oliver ending up the biggest. Taken 3 months ago-left to right Orion, Oliver, Leo, Goldy
Neechy left newfypoo 2yrs 86Ibs Banksy right 4 months 42Ibs Bernedoodle they have the same dad your poodle!
Small/Medium Newfypoos
Let me start by saying not all Newfypoos are as grumpy as the one in this picture!! My gosh, someone is not happy about this "buh-bye"! Newfypoo Zoo does not produce your typical "mini Newfypoo" because we don't have the proper mini Poodle to do it with. What many don't know about the breeding world is a lot goes into pairing each litter properly. Throwing two dogs together to make cute puppies is not what we do. We start by comparing personalities then we move to genetics, and last, we make sure we are going to produce the proper size, look and colors we were going for. As for now we use our small standard merle Poodle to make our small Newfypoos. These puppies can range from 45lbs to 65lbs. However, we have been searching for months for a fit mini Poodle to add to our program to make even smaller Newfypoos. These puppies will all be 75% Poodle, 25% Newfoundland. Hopefully in 2022 we can make true minis.
